Geeking-up the Mona Lisa

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

She might have nothing to do with the Renaissance look that the original Mona Lisa is popular for, but this version of the famous painting created entirely out of computer parts gives an awesome futuristic feel that I’m absolutely digging. Imagine- it’s made out of computer parts!

This work, entitled “Technology Smiling,” is on display at a high-tech exhibition in Beijing.

And man… Tech Hash is turning into a geek art blog, isn’t it?

Feed Rinse is an easy to use tool that lets you automatically filter out syndicated content that you aren’t interested in, in simpler words, it helps you “clean up” what you read.
This reminds me of a washing detergent, but it’s probably the way they’re marketing themselves, check out the icons:

dirty, rotten feed

apply Feed Rinse

happy, shiny feed

Charming, just charming. I’m amused.

Otherwise, I don’t trust automatic filtering, it helps you miss out on the good stuff more than anything else, so it definitely isn’t for me. I prefer skim and scan.
But there’s a huge downside though, me aside- Feed Rinse is not for free. Seriously mates, this is Web 2.0, it’s RSS, it’s blogs, it’s news, especially as you’re using the whole Web 2.0 process of adding “Delicious”, “Blinklist” and “Magnolia” for “digging”.

Interesting graphics with the RSS icons nontheless.
